Supponor has broken new ground with its Digital Billboard Replacement technology used for the first time at a Scottish Premier League match.
DBRLive was in action from Motherwell’s Fir Park stadium for the home match with Edinburgh side Hearts.
Billboards were replaced in the international broadcast feed, which went to territories outside the UK, and the lunchtime kick-off in Scotland meant the match was evening primetime viewing in Asia, so providing greater exposure for differentiated perimeter advertising.
This is the latest match in Supponor’s activity in major football, following the recent friendly international between Sweden and England.
Tony Ragan, Chief Commercial Officer, Supponor, said: “Our technology continues to attract new markets and we are now getting an increasing variety of sporting events.”
Stuart MacPhee, Head of Sales and Marketing at the SPL, said: “As we broadcast live matches to over 50 countries around the globe, the Supponor system provides an opportunity to open up new markets and commercial prospects while delivering bespoke, regionalised messaging for our partners.”
