Supponor has agreed a tie-up with one of Europe’s leading sports production companies.

London-based Input Media will provide expert staff for rigging and operating Supponor’s DBRLive system at events in the UK and elsewhere.

The companies will begin a period of intensive training in the coming weeks as Supponor enters a busy time producing digital billboard replacement at major football and other sporting events.

Guy Hollis, Head of Operations at Supponor, said: “As Input Media is a production partner of The Football Association, we’ve got to know the team well working alongside them over the last 18 months on England games at Wembley. This relationship takes that one step further and uses their staff to work on our system.

“We’ll be able to call on their staff at different times – engineers, unit managers, operators and riggers. While we will provide the OB van, they will rig, calibrate and operate the system. Supponor will also be at the event handling the billboard set-up and overseeing the process. This partnership is a logical progression and combines their vast programme production and outside broadcast expertise with our knowledge of the DBRLive system.”

Input Media, established 25 years ago, is based in west London at its state-of-the-art HD Broadcast and Production Centre. The Company employs more than 120 production, technical and support staff delivering more than 2000 hours of top-quality programming each year for broadcasters and sports federations around the world.
