Supponor scored another international success when it delivered two separate targeted advertising feeds from the England v Brazil friendly last night.
Football fans from all over the world tuned in to watch the Wembley Stadium thriller – which England won 2-1.
Those watching live in Brazil saw virtual advertising carrying the roster of their national team’s sponsors, while fans in the rest of the world saw different brands advertised on the international feed.
Brazil, as five times world champions, attract huge TV audiences whenever they play - and the England team – packed full of English Premier League stars - guaranteed this match would achieve huge viewing figures.
So Supponor’s DBRLive was used to maximise advertising potential by digitally replacing the in-stadium billboards with regionalised advertising to the separate TV feeds.
Chris Buckley, Supponor CEO, said: “We were delighted with Supponor’s performance on the night.
“Wembley is familiar territory for us but this game was easily the highest profile we have done from there and it was great to be able to drive value in different markets in a way that no other company can”
Supponor works in partnership with leading sports marketing and rights agency Pitch International, which is using DBRLive at the major sporting events it represents. These include Brazil International friendlies leading up to World Cup 2014 and England International matches.
