Key Finder opens door to enhanced system

Supponor continues to improve its unique DBRLive technology with an enhancement to the system that allows the replacement of perimeter billboards after broadcasters have already inserted their match graphics.
This add-on to the system, known as Key Finder (patent applied for), means that DBRLive can be inserted on to the full programme host broadcaster's multilateral feed ("dirty") or the on-site broadcaster unilateral feed, completely post production. This can be done either at the venue or at a remote MCR/play-out location.
This means production teams and their facilities providers on-site covering world events or individual broadcasters on-site at a venue supplementing the host coverage, can operate their usual workflows without any impact from DBRLive - as virtual advertising will be added just before the final leg of signal uplink or distribution post OB unit.
Shaun Glanville, Supponor's Head of Broadcast Technology, said: 'This important change to the way that DBRLive works has a hugely positive impact on how we will work with broadcasters going forward. Anything that simplifies our integration with broadcasters is a positive thing and I am sure it will be well received.''
Key Finder was invented and developed by Supponor's R&D team in Espoo, Finland, and is another example of how this team is keeping Supponor ahead of the competition through innovation that has genuine applications.
